List before choosing
When several moves appear possible, describe each destination. Check legality first, then think about the resulting positions.
Use a small practice layout
Pick two candidate moves from a made-up position and explain one advantage and one concern for each. Keep it a discussion exercise rather than a claim about optimal play.
Think about uncertainty
A future roll is not a promise. A sensible-looking move may still lead to an unfavourable result. Judge the explanation separately from a single outcome.
Keep a short note
After a session, record one rule you clarified and one decision you would like to revisit. Focus on a repeatable thinking habit.
